Objective
Defend the villagers in the centre of the map by building towers and heroes.
Endure 40 waves of monsters to win, each with their own special characteristics and abilitites that make your life harder.
Gameplay
You get to choose from 10 different elemental Governors, who each construct towers with special attributes.
After every 5th level you get the chance to create a new type of builder, upgrade your current builder or train a hero.
For each wave, the monsters start in all four corners and have to pass the others before they go into the middle.
Governors
There's 10 different Governors in Burbenog TD, each starting with their elemental builder. The governor decides the race of your builder, as well as which different sets of second builders you will have. The Many different cominations of builders, and races help to make this TD into a map you'll want to replay many times.

Difficulties
There's 4 different difficulties in Burbenog TD, where the amount of lives decreases in the harder difficulties.
- Easy mode (Easy) : The easiest difficulty. You start with 50 lives.
- Normal mode (Normal) : The averege hard difficulty. You start with 25 lives.
- Hard mode (Hard) : This difficulty is only for pro's. You only got one chance, 1 life.
- Expert mode (Expert) : Like Hard, you only got 1 life, but, the waves are random. There's no knowing when flying units, or specific armor comes.
Lumber system
Lumber is very precious in Burbenog TD. Every fifth level, you will recieve one lumber. In the beginning there's not many options to do with it, but it is still an essential part. For instance, with one lumber, you can train a secondary builder, allowing you to build towers from different elements, which is very useful if you want to survive the 40 waves.
Lumber can also be used to build a tech building, but it is not recommended in doing so with your first lumber, since, the towers you unlock are far to expensive in the beginning. The lumber can also be spent on your race's Ultimate tower, but, all Ultimate towers require a tech building, and you can only build the ultimate building with your starting race (no secondary builders can build a ultimate building).
One very fun, and very useful part to use lumber with, is training a hero. Heroes are very useful, since they can catch leaks, and often got abilties that can freeze creeps in their tracks. You train your hero from your tech building. The hero itself requires one lumber.
Here's a small list of the things you can do with your lumber:
- Secondary Builders 1 wood
Important for variation in your tower build. Recommended spending your first lumber on.
- Tech Building 100 gold & 1 wood
Allowing you to build more advanced towers as well as train heroes. Depending on race, sometimes contains upgrades or trainable units.
- Hero 250 gold & 1 wood
Heroes have many useful spells, as well as decent attacks. Each hero got an unique playstyle. Perfekt for catching leaks.
- Ultimate Building about 500-800 gold & 1 wood
Requires governor and tech building in the same race. The ultimate buildings are the most powerful towers of each race. They often have certain abilities that makes them extremely valuable, as well as very good attacks.

Comments
This is a great TD, that works well with either 2 or 4 players. Since there are many different difficulties, and that there's a wide variety of races and elements, this TD can be played over and over.
That you can sell towers between players is also a thing that makes this TD so good. Players that lack the ability to slow creeps down, can ask an ally for help, and then players can cede towers to other players, thereby, changing the towers colour.
Pros +
- The creeps run past each player, good coop
- Many varying abilities and spells
Cons -
- Heroes maximum level is 12
